QUINN'S PROJECT

Quinn’s project is a loving tribute to the life and memory of a young child that was tragically taken from this world well before his time. For most of his life, Quinn called Georgetown his home--spending countless hours playing at Rose Park. This effort is a culmination of Quinn's passion for life, the memories we will always cherish and the efforts of all those who continue to honor his life.

The goal for Quinn’s Project is to enhance the beauty of Rose Park and convey Quinn's passion for life by further developing and cultivating the portions of Rose Park dedicated to the enjoyment of children and their families.

Quinn’s Story
Quinn was born February 12, 2007 at Sibley Hospital. He lived most of his life on 31st Street, making his rounds in the Georgetown community. By his first birthday he was known around town and recognized by many.

On Dec. 31st 2008, while playing in the back yard of his home, Quinn was hit by a falling tree branch. He suffered major head injuries and was transported to Children’s Hospital in the Washington Hospital Center. On January 1, 2009, Quinn lost the fight for his life.

During his time on earth, Quinn taught those around him valuable lessons on the importance of living life to the fullest. He will always be remembered as the blue-eyed boy that could capture your heart with one look. He lives on through all those who knew and remember him and will continue to affect the lives of many more through Rose Park for years to come.
